The Maypole Fund is a small grant-giving organisation that funds feminist activism against militarism and war, and for peace with justice. We have an international impact by financially supporting feminist direct action, activities and projects which oppose the many forms of militarism and war, and work for peace in locally relevant and appropriate ways.
Do you have an imaginative, non-violent project on feminist anti-militarism and peace activism? The Maypole Fund may be able to support your activism with a grant of up to £1000.
Eligible applicants include young women’s groups and individuals, lesbian groups and individuals, activities or projects not yet started, women who do not have access to other sources of funding or whose projects find it difficult to attract funding from elsewhere, imaginative and creative activities, and individual women and small women’s groups prioritised over larger, established women’s organisations
Your application must be for a project which falls within our aims, be non-violent and demonstrate how a feminist perspective informs the proposed project or activity.
As we receive more applications than we have money to fund, we are especially looking for imaginative and politically expressive projects. Of the applications we receive, we support on average 5-10%.
The Maypole Fund accepts applications in two funding sessions each year.
Submissions for the June 2026 session will open on June 1st 2026. Please check back for the application form and submit your application then.
