Education for Climate Coalition – Call for Youth Coordinators 2026
Applications are now open for the Education for Climate Coalition Youth Coordinators 2026, a leadership opportunity for young people passionate about climate action, sustainability, education, and community engagement.
The initiative is part of the Education for Climate Coalition, a flagship programme of the European Commission that brings together students, educators, youth leaders, policymakers, and climate advocates to promote climate education and support the green transition across Europe and beyond. The Coalition is currently seeking up to six new Youth Coordinators to help lead and strengthen its Youth Group.
As a Youth Coordinator, you will serve as an ambassador for the Coalition, helping to engage young people, facilitate discussions, support community activities, and ensure that youth voices are represented in climate education initiatives. Selected coordinators will work closely with the Education for Climate Secretariat and other youth leaders to build a vibrant and active youth community.

Europe (Open to young people connected to the Education for Climate Community; international applicants engaged in climate education may also participate in the Coalition community)
Responsibilities
Selected Youth Coordinators will:
- Welcome and support new members joining the Youth Group
- Facilitate discussions and peer-to-peer learning
- Promote community activities, events, and opportunities
- Support the Secretariat in maintaining an active and inclusive community
- Share updates, key messages, and outcomes from meetings and events
- Participate in community events and leadership meetings
- Help organize activities related to sustainability and climate education
One coordinator will also be selected as the Main Youth Coordinator, providing additional leadership and coordination within the group.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Be between 18 and 30 years old
- Have a good command of English
- Be a member of the Education for Climate platform
- Demonstrate interest in sustainability, climate action, or education
- Show motivation to mobilize communities and engage young people
- Have experience or interest in facilitating discussions, events, or youth initiatives
The Coalition is looking for a diverse group of students and young professionals from different educational and professional backgrounds.

Duration
