About 2026 NGO Fellowship Program
Taiwan Alliance in International Development (Taiwan AID) invites NGO professionals from South Asia, Southeast Asia, Northeast Asia and the Pacific Islands who are passionate about making an impact on the community.
This program offers a unique blend of different experiences, such as working with the Taiwanese NGO according to your professional background, participating in workshops, and connecting with peers and expert Taiwanese NGOs.
Key Program Features
🔷NGO Placement:
Fellows will be placed in Taiwan’s NGO according to their professional backgrounds. Fellows will work with the Taiwanese NGO and engage in daily operations for three weeks. Depending on the nature of the NGOs, fellows will engage in event preparation, project management, or fundraising activities.
🔷Capacity building:
Fellows will attend workshops at the start of the program. The workshop aims at project management, fundraising, and advocacy. Fellows will also visit civil society sites in Taiwan.
🔷Roundtable event:
Fellows will join a roundtable event on the sixth day of the program. The fellows and Taiwanese NGO professionals will together share their practical experience and up-to-date observations in the field.
🔷Future project collaboration
Fellows will be expected to propose a project draft at the end of the program for future cooperation in their home countries. The program will provide opportunities for fellows and host NGOs to explore the possibility of future cooperation.
🔷Alumni Network:
Alumni of Fellowship will stay connected, explore potential collaborations and engage in Asia NGO Eco-system.

🔷Event Date: Sunday, 4 October – Sunday, 1 November 2026 (Fully on-site participation required)
— Oct. 04 Taipei arrival
— Oct. 05– Oct. 08 Workshop, civil society sites visit, roundtable
— Oct. 12-Oct.29 Field placement in NGOs in Taiwan
— Oct. 30 Wrap-up, Closing Ceremony
— Oct. 31 Attending Taiwan LGBT+ Pride
— Nov. 01 Taipei departure
【Who Can Apply?】
🔷NGO professionals working on : Community development / Environment / Education / Women´s rights / Civic Engagement & Human rights / Emergency relief / Disability inclusion / Children & Families welfare/ Social innovation & Entrepreneurship
(Outstanding applicants from other fields will also be considered.)
🔷At least three years of work experience in the NGO sector
🔷Demonstrated professional excellence, independent and self-motivated, able to complete an independent fellowship
🔷Age: 25 to 40 years old
🔷Country of Origin
🔷Language: Proficiency in written and oral English, and fluency in Mandarin is a plus.
