The Slingshot Challenge is inviting young people from around the world to share creative ideas for solving environmental problems in their communities.
Participants submit a one-minute video explaining their idea and how it could help address an environmental issue. Selected young changemakers can receive up to US$10,000 to help bring their ideas to life.
The programme encourages young people to develop practical solutions and use their creativity to contribute to the future of conservation and environmental protection.
What Ideas Can Be Submitted?
Ideas should address environmental issues and can focus on challenges affecting the participant’s community or the wider planet.
Possible areas include:
- Climate change and climate action
- Conservation of wildlife and biodiversity
- Waste and pollution
- Sustainable communities
- Ocean and marine conservation
- Protection of ecosystems and natural resources
- Environmental education
- Other community-based environmental challenges
The focus is on creative solutions, rather than simply describing an environmental problem.

Why Apply?
