The Thrive Grant funds initiatives outside USA that accelerate alternatives to industrial animal agriculture, create plant-rich food systems, and/or increase access to or awareness of nutritious plant-based foods
The Thrive Grant ranges from $10,000 USD to $30,000 USD.
The Thrive Grant is geared toward mid-size or larger organizations with a track record of success. We are currently only granting applicants outside USA. Currently, the majority of Thrive Grants are directed to organizations that we have funded in the past.
Please see our other grants here.
Deadlines are 11:59 pm GMT on:
1 March
1 June
1 September
1 December
It takes up to 8 weeks from deadline for a response. And while we aim to fund as many proposals as possible, grants are limited and, unfortunately, not all who apply will be awarded.
Please scroll to the end of this page to apply.
Proposals are welcomed through the online application linked below and unfortunately, we can’t accept emailed proposals. Organizations that receive a grant are typically eligible for only 1 grant per year.
Equity is the centerpiece of our giving. Proposals led by or that meaningfully employ women, people of colour, and other marginalized persons are encouraged to apply.
Due to a high number of proposals coming from Africa, if you’re based in Africa and would like to apply for a Thrive Grant and haven’t received a grant from Thrive in the past, we invite you to first join the Thrive Africa Accelerator HERE. Within the accelerator you’ll get to join a cohort of like-minded advocates across Africa and Thrive will get to know more about your work before you apply. Furthermore, due to high demand from the African continent, Africa-based groups that haven’t received a grant from Thrive in the past are more likely to be accepted for a Seed Grant.
